Position Type: W-2 Employee — Full-Time
Schedule: 40 hours per week. Holiday and holiday weekends are required, along with availability during major sales, launches, and event periods.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Warehouse Manager is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the seamless flow of operations across the Chérie Lane warehouse while supporting alignment between the warehouse, storefront, and online business.
This role is responsible for warehouse efficiency, inventory accuracy, product processing, team leadership, operational coordination, and ensuring that products are prepared and available when and where they are needed.
The Warehouse Manager serves as the operational backbone of Chérie Lane and acts as the primary bridge between the Owner, Flagship Store Manager, Shopify Admin, and warehouse associates.
This position requires strong leadership, organization, initiative, communication, and problem-solving skills. The Warehouse Manager must be able to see the bigger operational picture while remaining willing and able to work hands-on alongside the warehouse team.
This is a working leadership role. The Warehouse Manager is expected to lead from the floor, set the standard through personal example, and ensure the warehouse operates efficiently without constant oversight from ownership.
WORKING LEADERSHIP STRUCTURE
The Warehouse Manager will work alongside warehouse associates on a daily basis while simultaneously overseeing higher-level operational and leadership responsibilities.
While working in the warehouse, the Warehouse Manager is responsible for:

The Warehouse Manager is not expected to personally complete every warehouse task. Instead, this role is responsible for ensuring that the team is properly trained, delegated, supported, and held accountable so that work is completed efficiently, accurately, and to Chérie Lane standards.
LEADERSHIP & TEAM MANAGEMENT
The Warehouse Manager has direct management responsibility over all warehouse associates and serves as the daily leader of the warehouse team.
Responsibilities include:

Interviewing, hiring, and onboarding warehouse staff in partnership with the Owner

Training and developing warehouse associates

Creating schedules and managing appropriate coverage

Delegating daily responsibilities and maintaining workflow

Establishing clear expectations and priorities

Monitoring productivity and maintaining accountability

Providing feedback, coaching, and performance direction
-
Addressing performance concerns promptly and professionally
-
Recognizing strong performance and developing team members
-
Making recommendations regarding disciplinary action or termination when necessary

Maintaining a professional, respectful, positive, and accountable team environment

Ensuring warehouse associates understand and follow Chérie Lane procedures and standards
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for building and maintaining a strong, reliable, hardworking warehouse team that supports the overall success and growth of Chérie Lane.
PARTNERSHIP WITH FLAGSHIP STORE MANAGER
The Warehouse Manager will work closely with the Flagship Store Manager to ensure seamless alignment between warehouse and storefront operations.
This includes:

Ensuring the storefront is consistently stocked and supported

Coordinating inventory transfers and restocks

Communicating product needs and inventory priorities
-
Aligning on launches, events, promotions, and floor needs
-
Supporting store events and high-volume periods
-
Ensuring requested product is transferred accurately and efficiently
-
Maintaining proactive and professional communication
-
Resolving inventory or operational issues quickly
-
Operating as a unified leadership team with shared goals
The Warehouse Manager and Flagship Store Manager are expected to communicate proactively rather than waiting for problems to arise.
SHOPIFY & INVENTORY ALIGNMENT
The Warehouse Manager will work closely with the Shopify Admin to ensure that inventory, product information, launches, and transfers are accurately aligned across warehouse and storefront locations.
Responsibilities include:

Ensuring physical inventory counts are accurate and aligned with Shopify

Confirming SKUs, quantities, and pricing before launches

Communicating inventory discrepancies immediately
-
Communicating delays, shortages, or receiving issues promptly
-
Supporting timely and accurate product launches
-
Ensuring transfers between locations are accurately reflected
-
Maintaining organized and accurate backend inventory systems
-
Coordinating launch preparation so all locations are appropriately stocked
-
Supporting inventory reconciliation when discrepancies occur
Clear, proactive communication with the Shopify Admin and leadership team is required to maintain operational excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Inventory & Warehouse Management

Oversee all receiving, processing, storage, organization, and movement of inventory

Maintain accurate inventory counts

Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies

Ensure merchandise is organized, labeled, and floor-ready

Manage transfers between the warehouse and storefront

Monitor product condition and presentation
-
Establish and maintain efficient warehouse organization systems
-
Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and efficient work environment
-
Manage warehouse supplies and operational materials
-
Ensure products are easy for the team to locate and access
-
Maintain standards that allow the warehouse to operate efficiently during high-volume periods
Product & Operational Support

Oversee product intake and preparation processes
-
Ensure new merchandise is processed accurately and efficiently
-
Ensure inventory is prepared in a timely manner
-
Support merchandising and restocking needs
-
Collaborate on product launches and events
-
Prepare the warehouse for major launches, promotions, and sales
-
Identify opportunities to improve workflow and operational efficiency
-
Develop and maintain systems that support continued business growth
Communication & Operations

Serve as the primary operational bridge between the Owner, Store Manager, Shopify Admin, and warehouse team
-
Provide regular operational updates to the Owner

Maintain clear communication between departments

Communicate problems before they become larger issues

Document systems and processes for consistency

Bring solutions and proactive recommendations to leadership

Maintain organized records and operational information

Ensure important information is communicated to the appropriate team members

LEADERSHIP EXPECTATION
This position is being entrusted with a significant level of responsibility within the Chérie Lane organization.
The Warehouse Manager is expected to take ownership of the warehouse's success. This means recognizing what needs attention, communicating effectively, holding the team accountable, solving problems, and continuously looking for ways to make the operation better.
The expectation is not perfection. The expectation is initiative, accountability, communication, and continuous improvement.
When something goes wrong, the Warehouse Manager should be prepared to identify the issue, communicate it promptly, and work toward a solution rather than waiting for ownership to discover the problem.

AT-WILL EMPLOYMENT
Employment with Chérie Lane is at-will and may be terminated by either party at any time, with or without cause or notice, in accordance with applicable Texas law.
